About Morgan

Morgan is an AI Assistant that can answer questions about living in The Dawson and inside Raleigh.

Morgan can:

• Answer questions about parking assignments, unit sizes, rules, bylaws.
• Answer questions about the City of Raleigh government.
• Provide citations to source information.

Morgan can ask an associated AI, Walter, about questions related to the Raleigh City Code. Morgan may refer to Walter for some information, and you can also ask for Walter's advice, e.g., "Ask Walter who has the duty to clean sidewalks?"

Dawson Information

Morgan searches and cites from specific files related to The Dawson:

• Bylaws
• Declaration
• Maintenance Responsibilities
• Rules and Regulations
• Parking, storage bin, and personal locker assignments
• Unit size, common element percentages
• Miscellaneous facts
• Wake County real estate id for each unit
• Raleigh ordinances and charter.

These files, e.g. the Bylaws, are useful outside of Morgan because they are searchable with your editor or browser. Use f-12 in your browser to see a structured view of the XML files.

Morgan has a sub-assistant, Walter, that can research the Raleigh ordinances.

Morgan will resist answering questions beyond the scope of The Dawson.

Chat History: Morgan considers all the messages in a chat when it generates a response. This means that it will remember your name, if you tell it in a previous message. It also means you can ask for more or less detail without having to repeat the question, e.g. "Less detail, please." Use the "New Chat" button to erase your chat history and start a fresh one.

Natural Language: Morgan understands natural language very well. It knows, e.g., these are asking the same question:

• What is the size of unit 412?
• How big is unit 412?

Correctness: Since it is based on a generative large language model, Morgan is susceptible to generating hallucinations, i.e., plausible but non-factual information.
